Electricity is somewhat like the air you breathe; you don’t think of it until it runs out. In the event of a power failure, it’s only when you try to turn the switches on that you scramble and realise how much you need it.
In Singapore, electricity is supplied by the power plants and is delivered to homes, offices and industrial facilities islandwide. This is done via the national power grid which SP owns and operates.
The Energy Market Authority monitors and ensures the security of the electricity generation and transmission system.
